Crochet Sleeveless Dress - Ink Black Stripe

I had seen this online and loved it but wasn’t sure how it would go on my lumps and bumps. I was fortunate enough to be on holidays and tried it on in store. It skimmed my curves, mum tum and all. As a curvy 16-18 I was really surprised. I ended up buying the 18 as I was more comfortable but the 16 was a good fit as well. I was worried it would sag with wear on my butt but the store girls assured me it wouldn’t and they were 100% correct. This dress is a winner

Wouldn't normally wear horizontal stripes, but design is flattering - the knit and front seam somehow make it work. The slip helps to smooth, but for me, looks better with shapewear. Loop in the shoulder seam to hold the slip strap in place, could have been sewn to fasten in the opposite direction (side to side rather then front to back); hope attached pic explains it better. The slip strap does get twisted sometimes & the press-stud end rubs slightly on the shoulder.. very minor & no regrets with the
